National Apprenticeship Week, Monday February 6th – Friday February 10th 2012

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, Future Strategies is holding a series of events at its Segedunum Business Centre, Wallsend and its South Tyneside Academy, South Shields. 

Future Strategies is inviting local schools and businesses to join them at these events, which are aimed at providing young adults with advice and guidance on the career opportunities available to them via an Apprenticeship.

The following events will be held at our sites in Wallsend and South Tyneside:

Monday 6^th February 2012 – Academy Open Day

Drop in sessions will be held between 10am and 3pm for anyone aged 16 – 24 who wants to understand more about our delivery programmes and the exciting opportunities they present.

Tuesday 7^th February 2012 – Taster Days

These “taster” sessions will provide young adults with an overview of FSC courses and their content. Hourly sessions will be held throughout the day, starting at 10am with the final session at 3pm.

Wednesday 8^th February 2012 – Employer Presentation Day

Employer presentations and question and answer sessions will be held between 10am and 3pm. The aim of these sessions will be to raise the profile of Apprenticeships and explain some of the real competitive benefits an apprentice can offer to a business.

Thursday 9^th February 2012 – Careers and Fundraising Day

Academy advisors and local employers will be on site, between 10am – 3pm, recruiting for apprentices and to talk about why they support our Apprenticeship programme. There will also be various fund raising events throughout the day in aid of the Sunshine Fund and Hope 4 Kids charities.

Friday 10^th February 2012 – CV building Sessions

Academy advisors will be on site to help you create the perfect CV to land you the job of your dreams at hourly CV building sessions from 10am – 3pm.

All events will be held simultaneously at our Wallsend and South Tyneside Academies from 10am – 3pm:
